Imed Alibi & Khalil Epi

This Tunisian duo found the perfect balance between tradition and innovation in music from North Africa on their LP Frigya a few years ago. Drummer Imed Alibi is a master of oriental percussion who has been playing in various orchestras since childhood but has also played with Rachid Taha, Les Boukakes, Watcha Clan, Natasha Atlas, and many more. The other half of the band is Khalil Hentati, a young producer and DJ with a background in Arabic and Mediterranean music, known, for example, from the Arabstazy project. The result of their meeting is an organic fusion of electronic and traditional sounds based on Tunisian rhythmic structures that will make you wear out your sandals on the dancefloor.
